Weld Inspection Our new Shad-o-Box EV series has the extended kV range that is ideal for imaging through thick aluminum or steel plates, or for inspecting pipes and castings. These applications require higher energies and longer exposures in order to penetrate dense materials. High sensitivity and good resolution are necessary to detect minute cracks, voids or inclusions in welded parts or castings.
